It appeared the Saints were on their way to a victory on Sunday in Detroit, but the Lions roared back with two touchdowns in the final four minutes to beat New Orleans 24-23. New Orleans was in control for much of the game, but Detroit hit on a 73-yard touchdown pass with 3:38 left and the Black and Gold couldn’t recover. Quarterback Drew Brees threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns, but threw an interception with just over three minutes left that set up Detroit’s winning score.
Elsewhere in the NFC South, the Green Bay Packers handled the Carolina Panthers 38-17 and it was Baltimore over Atlanta, 29-7. Despite their 2-and-4 record, the Black and Gold remain in second place in the Division.
