LSU starting pitcher Alex Lange struck out 10 hitters to help lead the Tigers to a 4-2 win over Rice. The victory puts the Bayou Bengals into the championship round of the Baton Rouge regional. LSU will play the winner of today’s game between Southeastern Louisiana and Rice at 7 PM.

The LSU softball team is out of the run in the 2016 Women’s College World Series after falling to the Oklahoma Sooners 7-3. The Lady Tigers end the season with 52 wins, tied for the 9th most in program history.

The Ragin Cajuns are one win away from advancing to the Super Regionals after UL Lafayette easily defeated Arizona 10-3 yesterday afternoon. Sophomore left-hander Gunner Leger won his 7th game of the year as he threw five innings and allowed three runs. Head Coach Tony Robichaux..:

After 42 wins, Louisiana Tech’s season is over. The Bulldogs were blanked by Mississippi State 2-0 as the other Bulldogs won the Starkville Regional and advance to the Super Regionals, where they’ll face either UL Lafayette or Arizona.

Tulane couldn’t get it together to pull out a victory over Boston College as The Green Wave ended their season after falling to the Eagles 6-3 on Sunday night in Oxford.b Tulane’s season ends with a 41-21 record.
