The New Orleans Pelicans traded up in the NBA Draft on Thursday night to select Duke guard Frank Jackson with the No. 31 pick. The Pels decided to trade the 52nd overall pick in last night’s NBA Drat to the Pacers in exchange for cash considerations.

A star running back out of Florida has committed to LSU. Chris Curry visited Baton Rouge Thursday and gave a non-binding verbal pledge. Curry is ranked by 247Sports.com as the nation’s 24th-best running back.

Tyrunn Walker, a New Iberia native and former defensive lineman for the New Orleans Saints, is reportedly being investigated by Lafayette authorities over claims of sexual assault by two women. Not much is known about the apparent probe.
