A big position battle in training camp is at wide receiver as their are 12 pass catchers trying to make the team.

The NBA schedule has been released and, as expected, the Pelicans will open the season October 27th on the road against the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors. The Pels home opener will happen Saturday, October 31st when the Warriors travel to The Big Easy. The Pelicans will appear on national television 21 times next season, including the season opener and a scheduled Christmas Day matchup in Miami to face the Heat.

It looks like the Pelicans are taking a page from the Saints’ playbook. Sources say the Pels would like to hold their training camp at the The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, the same facility where the Black & Gold’s training camp is being held. The only hickup in the plan is that The Greenbrier doesn’t have a basketball facility. It’s reported that the resort is planning to add basketball courts and goals to its indoor tennis structure. It’s unsure if The Greenbrier would be ready for the upcoming camp.
