LSU football can not win the SEC West as a result of its loss to Alabama, but Coach Brian Kelly says they can still have back to back ten win seasons if they win their final three regular season games and the bowl game. He says elite programs win ten or more games every year and that’s what he’s striving for….

Saints Coach Dennis Allen says they do not plan on bringing in any kickers for a try out, even though rookie Blake Grupe (Group-E) missed a 47-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter in Sunday’s win over the Bears….

The Pelicans started a three game road trip in Denver last night and lost to the defending NBA champs 134 to 116. New Orleans was outscored 40-21 in the third quarter. Rookie Jordan Hawkins had 31 points in a losing effort.
The LSU men’s basketball team easily defeated Mississippi Valley State 106 to 60. Seven footer Will Baker had 29 points.
