Dennis Allen is expected to be named the new head coach of the Saints according to multiple reports. Allen was seen as the front runner to succeed Sean Payton, having served on Payton’s staff as defensive coordinator since 2015. So it isn’t a surprise to Locked on Saints host Ross Jackson that Allen is now the man in charge.

This will be Allen’s second stint as head coach as he led the Raiders from 2012 to 2014, but only won eight games.

Saints running back Alvin Kamara will make his first court appearance in a Las Vegas courtroom on March 8th after his arrrest following the Pro Bowl for battery resulting in substantial bodily harm. Authorities say video surveillance matches the story told by the victim who suffered an orbital fracture to his right eye after he was allegedly punched and stomped on by Kamara and his associates in a Las Vegas casino on Saturday.

The LSU men’s basketball team hopes to turn things around tonight when they visit Texas A-and-M. The Tigers have lost six of their last seven and facing huge deficits in the first half has been an issue. Coach Will Wade says they have to keep their opponents from going on extended runs…

The Pelicans begin a six-game homestand tonight when they host the Rockets. New Orleans just beat Houston by 13 points and Brandon Ingram had 33 points in that game. Ingram was named Western Conference Player of the Week yesterday.

In basketball action last night, the Lady Tigers defeated Ole Miss 68-64 as Khayla Pointer had her second triple-double of her career. Southern and Grambling men both won last night as the Jags defeated Alabama State 72-58, while Grambling upended Alabama A-and-M 58-50.
