State Police is investigating an officer involved shooting in which they say a Baton Rouge cop shot and killed a man during a struggle while escorting a state child welfare case worker. LSP is also working to diffuse social media rumors about the incident. Family members have identified the man as Calvin Toney. Troopers would not say whether the man had a gun, but authorities did confirm that the struggle lasted several minutes and that the man was tased before being shot. They say the man was not handcuffed when he was shut.
U.S. Senator John Kennedy has written an op-ed piece to the Washington Examiner entitled “Please stop having children you aren’t willing to raise.” He implores drug abusing parents, or if a child would be born into a fatherless house, please think twice about bringing lives into the world:
