The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is promoting the Catch and Cook Program, which allows anglers to bring their catch to local restaurant and be prepared by a chef. Franklin Senator Bret Allain says this is a great opportunity to promote Louisiana’s recreational fishing industry.

He says the way the program works, if you catch a fish, clean it and bring it to a participating restaurant within six days of being caught. LDWF says 14 restaurants have signed on to the program including Galatorie’s in the French Quarter.
