Louisiana’s Congressional delegation continues its push for flood recovery dollars. Congress is scheduled to recess at the end of the month and will not return until after the November election. Louisiana’s Senior Senator David Vitter says they are trying to get the federal appropriation passed this month….

The over 350 individuals who remain at a shelter at the Baton Rouge River Center will be shifted to another shelter today, because the River Center needs its facility for upcoming events. Disney released a gumbo recipe video on Facebook that is driving Louisianans mad. The video has since been removed after receiving backlash for adding kale, quinoa (Keen-wah) and not even starting with a roux.
