All incumbent members of Louisiana’s congressional delegation swept to re-election victories. Republican Congressman Steve Scalise of Metairie received 73 percent of the vote, Congressman Garret Graves of District 6 was supported by 81 percent of voters, and also keeping his seat is Congressman Clay Higgins in the 3rd district.
An attorney for nearly 200 nursing home patients who were housed in a hot filthy, warehouse during Hurricane Ida says a judge’s decision to settle a class action lawsuit is extremely unfair.
